Why see Tina - The Tina Turner Musical?

the tony winner on tour!

Following its electrifying US premiere on Broadway, Tina Turner's spectacular bio-musical is heading on tour! Garnering rave reviews from critics and the public alike, Tina - The Tina Turner Musical is an exhilarating rollercoaster ride that eclipses all other musical biopics. Yes, it's really that good, you won't want to miss it! Telling the story of Tina's extraordinary life and career, from her childhood days in Nutbush to her turbulent marriage and stratospheric success, we invite you to ride the highs and lows of Tina's story in this opulent and glittering musical.

Directed by Phyllida Lloyd (Mamma Mia, The Iron Lady) with a book by Katori Hall, Frank Ketelaar, and Kees Prins, as well as music by the great Tina Turner (of course), Tina has all the right ingredients to get your heart racing and feet stomping.

The one, the only... Tina Turner!

Tina Turner's turbulent career is the stuff of music legend, with her iconic songs often masking the dramatic goings-on behind the scenes. Her inspiring story was first told in the 1993 made-for-TV movie What's Love Got to Do with It, which followed her rise to fame, and her struggle to break free from her abusive husband and manager Ike Turner. Following an incredible comeback in the early '80s, Tina is now considered to be one of the best-selling artists of all time - and the reigning Queen of Rock 'n' Roll. She has garnered 11 Grammy Awards and three Grammy Hall of Fame awards, plus a legion of fans the world over.

A rolling success!

Fans of all ages were whooping from the first bars of the first song (Nutbush City Limits - what else?) And the high never really stops as Adrienne Warren delivers simply the best performance as the Queen of Rock and Roll.

Tina Turner

This was absolutely fabulous! I know Tina would have been a "Proud Mary". Only one suggestion. There were several spots in Tina's dialogue that could not be heard because the background music was too loud. Perhaps the sound crew can lower the volume a little when there is critical dialogue, so the audience can capture every nuance of the story. I will recommend this to everybody. Our seats were great, the meal at your restaurant was scrumptious and hosts were superb. Tanger you outdid yourself. Looking forward to the next show. ... Read more

What a great show!

Powerful performance, super musically, emotionally charged, major entertainment. I can't believe the complaining reviews here. Perhaps the negative folks left early to "beat the crowd" but the show went on and on with no one sitting in their seats for the never-ending surprise finale. Yes this isn't London or Broadway but this show really hit the mark and the evening was as super great. ... Read more
